First off, we would like to make a correction to our previous issue. In the Best Bets section, we referred to Derrick White as Devin White.
DERRICK White is an NBA guard for the Boston Celtics, and DEVIN White is an NFL linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sincere apologies for the mixup, but thank you to Derrick for still hitting the prop bet we bet on.

2022 U.S. Open Preview
The third major tournament of the PGA season tees off tomorrow at The Country Club (actual name) in Brookline, MA., and to get you ready for it, here’s your ultimate guide:
Facts about the tournament:
The U.S. Open is notorious for selecting tough courses that are seldomly beaten badly. The winner typically emerges at or around even par.
The name has significance for the winner, apparently. Since 1950, players from only six countries besides the United States have won.
Defending Champion: Jon Rahm
Most wins: A four-way tie at 4x, between Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones & Willie Anderson
Bonus Tiger stat: In his 2000 Victory at Pebble Beach, he won by fifteen (15) strokes; the largest margin in any U.S. Open tournament.
Facts about the course:
It was built in 1882 and is one of the original five clubs that founded the USGA. It has been the site of 3 U.S. Open’s before; most recently in 1988.
Par for the course: 70
Play theme & difficulties: rocky terrain. The course was built so long ago that modern golf design tools weren’t around to use, so they just designed the course off the natural terrain they were given.
Will Zalatoris once said “it’s the hardest golf course [he] ever played”
The money:
The total purse for the 2022 U.S. Open is $12.5 million
1st place takes home $2.25 million; with the runner-up taking home $1.35 million.
Those who just make the cut will take home at least $25k.
Favorites to win: Rory McIlroy (10-1), Justin Thomas (12-1), Scottie Scheffler (12-1), Jon Rahm (12-1), Cameron Smith (14-1)
Other players to watch: Brooks Koepka (30-1), Colin Morikawa (40-1)
The first group of the tournament tees off Thursday morning at 6:45 am ET. Peacock and USA Network have coverage in the mornings and early afternoons, and then NBC has the main broadcast every afternoon through Sunday.
Here’s a full look at the TV & streaming coverage for the weekend.

Worst of the Worst
Joe Maddon, former Los Angeles Angels manager, shaved his head into mohawk in an attempt to pump his players up amid a 12-game losing streak.
He was fired immediately when he showed up to the facilities before any of the players could see it.
No pictures exist on the internet of the mohawk, so you’ll have to use your imagination.
